Thank you for deciding to purchase one of my puppies. Bringing a cuddly new puppy into your home is both heartwarming and hard work! I will be here to help you along the way. Please feel free to ask me any questions or concerns you may have, even after your puppy is happily settled into your home. I enjoy hearing about my puppies as they mature. If you have questions, I will gladly share with you from my 15+ years of experience in dog care and training.

My puppies are given the best of care, starting with top quality prenatal care for the mama. Parent dogs must have delightful temperaments and a clean bill of health from my Licensed Veterinarian.

I reserve the right to keep my Pomeranian puppies until they are 10 weeks old if needed, since they are such a small breed. I will not, under any circumstances, allow the puppy to leave before it is ready. This is primarily to protect the puppy’s health. By 10 weeks, your puppy should be ready for his forever home.

I will only approve families or individuals that have demonstrated to me that they are ready for a long-term commitment to caring for their new companion.

I prefer if you can pick up the puppy locally, however, I may be able to meet you at a public location nearer your home for a $1/mile roundtrip fee. I prefer not to send my puppies with a puppy shipper, to keep them from making an extended trip and/or being exposed to other dogs and possible sickness, and because I like the puppy to go straight from my care to yours!

Purchase Agreement

  1. Please read the “Health Guarantee” before signing any papers or putting a deposit on your puppy. By putting a deposit on a puppy, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions within this contract.
  2. I, the breeder, require a $500 dollar deposit in order to hold the puppy of your choice. The deposit can be paid via cash, check, or PayPal. No puppy is considered reserved until the non-refundable deposit is received. Checks must be cleared with the bank before the puppy is considered reserved. Upon receipt of deposit, the puppy will be taken off the market and held for you until it is ready for its new home. Deposits will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. Final payment must be made with cash.
  3. The deposit is non-refundable, unless there is a problem with the health of your puppy. In that case, you, the buyer, will have your choice of a full refund or of transferring that deposit toward another puppy. Please do not give puppies as gifts without checking with the receiver first! Also check with ALL members of your household, as well as your landlord before committing to buying a puppy!

* Please be certain that you are ready for the time commitment and financial responsibility of a puppy prior to putting a deposit on one! *

Health Guarantee

  1. It will be up to me, the breeder, to decide when the puppy will be ready to go to its new home, in the best interest of the puppy’s health. Usually Pomeranians are ready by 10 weeks old.
  2. Failure to pick up your puppy by the agreed-on pick up date will incur a $10/ day boarding fee to be added to your final payment.
  3. The puppy will be vet checked, and is guaranteed to be in good health and of sound temperament at the time of the sale.
  4. The puppy will be up to date on shots and worming at the time of pick-up of the puppy. You will receive a health record of all shots. Please do not expose your puppy to other dogs that are not vaccinated until he has completed the entire vaccine schedule around 16-20 weeks old.
  5. You as the buyer, at your own expense, will have the puppy checked by your licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the puppy. Documentation of this vet check must be sent to me, the breeder, within 10 days in order for the health guarantee to be honored.
  6. If within 72 hours, a licensed vet finds the puppy to be unhealthy or unfit for sale, the puppy may be returned for a full refund – provided the puppy has not been injured or neglected. The veterinarian must provide a written statement deeming the puppy “unhealthy or unfit for purchase.”
  7. This guarantee does not cover any health issues caused by neglect or injury after leaving the possession of myself, the breeder.
  8. This guarantee does not include minor illnesses and health issues such as colds, allergies, internal or external parasites, luxating patella, or collapsing trachea that can be corrected by veterinarian treatment. I, the breeder, will make you aware of any and all known health issues prior to sale.
  9. The breeder cannot assume responsibility for this puppy or for any medical expenses incurred after 72 hours of the sale. It is the responsibility of the buyer to care for the puppy properly and keep it free from harm. Please remember that Pomeranian puppies must be treated with great care and protected from danger, including unintentional rough handling of small children. Do not let your Pomeranian unsupervised with small children!
  10. The breeder assumes no responsibility for training difficulties or behavioral problems. You, the buyer, will receive an information packet on how to train your new puppy. If you follow the recommendations given in the packet, you should not have any problems with the training process. I, the breeder, will gladly do my best answer any questions you may have throughout your first year of training, but you, the buyer, are responsible for doing the actual work of training your new puppy.
  11. I, the breeder, cannot guarantee the adult size of your new puppy. I will give you the size of both parents and an educated guess as to the mature size of your puppy, but there are many variables besides genetics.
  12. I, the breeder, do not guarantee fertility, mature coat color, mature coat quality, or the ability to place in shows. This puppy is strictly sold as a high-quality pet.
  13. I, the breeder, am not responsible for puppies which develop Hypoglycemia after the puppy leaves my possession. I will give you information on what to watch for, how to prevent it, and what to do if it occurs.
  14. I, the breeder, give a one-year guarantee (valid until the puppy’s first birthday) against any life-threatening congenital defects of the puppy. If this should occur within the first year of the puppy’s life, the puppy and written documentation by a licensed veterinarian must be returned to me, the breeder, for a full refund. If the condition can be treated, it is not considered life-threatening. If the puppy should die from a suspected congenital defect within the first year, and autopsy must be performed at the purchaser’s expense by a licensed veterinarian. A written documentation of the autopsy must be provided to me, the breeder, in order to give you, the buyer, a full refund.
  15. The buyer agrees to provide a life-long commitment, comfortable environment, prompt medical attention, proper grooming, responsible care and adequate training. This includes keeping the puppy up-to-date with vaccines, proper nutrition, which consists of a good quality dog food, fresh water at all times, and teeth cleanings as needed to ensure longevity of life. The buyer promises to provide a safe environment for the dog and never allow the dog to roam freely without proper fencing or supervision.
  16. If for any reason, at whatever age of the dog, you, the buyer, are not able to keep the puppy, you agree to return the puppy to Kendra’s Companion Dogs, and not place the puppy in any other home unless given the permission by me, the breeder. This is to prevent my puppies from ending up as strays or in rescue centers. If the puppy is returned to me within the first 30 days after puppy pick up, only half the purchase price will be refunded to you. The other half of purchase price will be kept to cover the cost of re-advertising, vet bills, and keeping the puppy current on vaccines and worming until the puppy is placed in its new home. If the puppy is returned after the 30 days, no money will be refunded to you, the buyer.
